W.A.S.P. Mainman Shoots Down 'Death' Reports
September 19, 2006As reports continue to surface on this ludicrous bad joke, Coallier Entertainment's Daniel Stanton, manager for W.A.S.P., has released the following statement from Blackie Lawless:
"If I died, I wish someone would have had the common decency to let me know. Besides, a car crash is way too mundane. I would have opted for something more spectacular."
As previously reported, a live recording of the new W.A.S.P. song "Mercy", taped during the band's appearance in Bulgaria earlier in the month, has been made available for download via the band's official forum at www.waspnation.com (free registration required).
"Mercy" is expected to be included W.A.S.P.'s new album, "Dominator", tentatively due before the end of the year.
W.A.S.P. canceled its previously announced European dates in July after frontman Blackie Lawless was diagnosed with an abnormality in one of the arteries leading to his heart.
W.A.S.P. is continuing to tour in support of their latest album, "The Neon God Part 2: The Demise", available now via Sanctuary Records' Metal-Is imprint.
